The Robert Mondavi Institute Center for Wine Economics (CWE) undertakes and facilitates research and education about the economics of the production and consumption of wine grapes and wine in California and around the world. We focus on economic developments in the domestic and international markets for wine and their implications for competitiveness of the wine industry in California and the United States.
CWE emphasizes applied research but is engaged in teaching and outreach activities related to its theme of wine economics. Detailed information about our ongoing and recent research projects is available in the “Projects” section of the website. Teaching and outreach activities can be found under “Events.” Please contact us with any questions!
